I found 6 spam posts in the last 48 hours. Here's what I've done and what I recommend:
Immediate actions taken:
- Flagged and removed 4 obvious spam posts (crypto promotions, unrelated product links)
- Muted 2 accounts that posted multiple times (@quick-gains, @nft-deals-22)
- Left 2 borderline posts for your review — they're self-promotional but from real members
Pattern identified: All spam accounts were created in the last 7 days and posted within minutes of joining. No profile photo, no bio, first post is a link.
Recommended rules to add:
- New members can't post links in their first 48 hours
- Require a profile bio before posting
- First post from new accounts goes into a moderation queue
- Auto-flag posts containing common spam keywords (airdrop, guaranteed returns, DM me)
