Self-Media Content Factory — One Agent, Four Platforms
Spending 2-3 hours daily writing the same post for 4 different platforms?
Deploy an always-on content agent that researches trending topics, writes original posts, adapts them to each platform's style, and publishes across X, Xiaohongshu, Reddit, and Telegram — all through a single Telegram approval flow. Zero additional tool costs: every MCP server and platform API used is free.

The Problem
- 1
You want to build an audience across multiple platforms, but writing 4 different versions of the same idea — a punchy tweet, a Xiaohongshu note with emojis, a Reddit deep-dive, and a Telegram update — takes 2-3 hours every single day.
- 2
Trending topics move fast. By the time you sit down to write about today's hot take, the conversation has already moved on and your post feels stale.
- 3
Each platform has invisible rules: Xiaohongshu penalizes plain text without emojis, Reddit downvotes anything that smells like self-promotion, X rewards hot takes under 280 characters. Learning and following all these rules manually is exhausting.
- 4
You start strong for a week, then life gets busy and your accounts go silent for a month. Inconsistency kills growth more than bad content does.

Got it — writing 4 versions on "Claude Code background agents" now. Generating: - X post (English, under 280 chars) - 小红书 note (Chinese, with cover image prompt) - Reddit post for r/programming (English, technical deep-dive) - Telegram channel update (bilingual) Drafts will be ready in ~2 minutes. I'll send them for your review.
What You Get
Every morning the agent researches trending topics in your niche via DuckDuckGo, scores them by relevance, and sends you the top 3 picks on Telegram. You reply with one word to pick a topic.
From one topic, the agent generates 4 platform-native versions: an X post (under 280 chars, sharp opinion), a Xiaohongshu note (Chinese, emoji-rich, with tags), a Reddit post (in-depth, value-first), and a Telegram channel update (bilingual summary).
You review all 4 drafts in one Telegram conversation. Reply 'ok' to approve, or send edits — the agent publishes on schedule via free MCP servers. Total daily effort: 5 minutes.
Nightly performance review: the agent checks engagement data and writes insights to memory, so tomorrow's topic picks are informed by what actually worked.
What's included
- Content Factory
Full-stack content creator — researches trends, writes original posts, adapts content to platform-specific formats, manages the publishing queue, and tracks performance across X, Xiaohongshu, Reddit, and Telegram.
Trend Research
Searches DuckDuckGo and scans industry sources for trending topics in your niche every morning. Scores each topic by freshness, relevance, and cross-platform potential. Sends top 3 picks to Telegram with one-line summaries.
Multi-Platform Content Adaptation
From a single topic, generates 4 platform-native versions following each platform's unwritten rules: X (under 280 chars, sharp take, 1-2 hashtags), Xiaohongshu (Chinese, emoji-dense, tag-rich, visual hook), Reddit (English, in-depth value, no self-promo tone), Telegram (bilingual summary with link).
Scheduled Publishing
Uses OpenClaw cron jobs to publish at optimal times: X at 12 PM and 6 PM, Xiaohongshu at 8 PM (China peak), Reddit at 9 AM EST (US morning). Publishes via free MCP servers after Telegram approval.
Performance Tracking
Nightly review of engagement signals across platforms. Tracks which topics, formats, and posting times performed best. Writes insights to agent memory so future topic picks and content style are data-driven.
Niche & Topics
Your content niche and topic areas. Default: indie hacking, AI tools, developer productivity. Change this to anything — fitness, cooking, finance, travel — and the agent adapts its research and writing style accordingly.
Brand Voice
Your writing personality. Provide 3-5 example posts per platform to teach the agent your tone. Without examples, the agent uses a neutral professional voice. More examples = dramatically better output.
Platform Accounts
API credentials for each platform. X: OAuth 1.0a keys from developer.x.com (free tier, 1,500 posts/month). Xiaohongshu: QR code scan login via xiaohongshu-mcp (no API key needed). Reddit: OAuth2 app from reddit.com/prefs/apps (free, non-commercial). Telegram: built-in via OpenClaw.

Tips & Best Practices
- All external tools in this workflow are free: X API free tier gives 1,500 posts/month, Xiaohongshu MCP uses browser automation with QR code login, Reddit API is free for personal use, DuckDuckGo has no API key requirement, and Telegram Bot API has no cost.
- The default niche is indie dev/AI, but you can change it to ANY field by editing the 'Niche' and 'Brand Voice' sections in the SOUL.md. The agent adapts its research sources, writing style, and platform strategy accordingly.
- Start with the Telegram approval workflow for at least 2 weeks before considering any auto-publish. This lets you calibrate the agent's voice and catch platform-specific mistakes early.
- Xiaohongshu uses browser automation (not an official API), so keep posting frequency to 1-2 notes per day to minimize account risk. The MCP server (xpzouying/xiaohongshu-mcp) requires a one-time QR code scan from your phone to authenticate.
- China's AIGC labeling regulation (GB 45438-2025) requires AI-generated content to be labeled. The agent adds an 'AI 辅助创作' tag to Xiaohongshu posts by default — do not remove this.
- Reddit has the strictest anti-spam detection. Always lead with genuine value (what you learned, built, or discovered) rather than promoting a product. The agent formats Reddit posts in a personal experience style to maximize acceptance.
- For image generation on Xiaohongshu cover images, the agent provides image prompts in the draft. You can generate these using any free tool (Gemini, ChatGPT free tier) or use OpenClaw's built-in image model if configured.
